The eight years of the Bush Administration has seen the growth of two wildly different phenomena. The first is the erosion of civil liberties, noteably including increased surveillance and torture, in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks and the ensuing ‘War on Terror.’ The second is the rise of broadband internet access, cheap cameras, and YouTube.
